The new version of Davinci - the innovative estimating and accounting software from DaVinci Automation, is now fully backboned for SMS and email messaging
This means Davinci can now be configured to provide an automatic event notification to production employees during different phases of the production process.
According to Director of Davinci Automation, Oliver Mergen, the system provides printers with a highly valuable tool to help the production process run more efficiently.
“For printers this is potentially a very useful concept because it can be used in the production schedule to make the production process run more smoothly, and to notify the employees of certain events happening in the production process,” says Mergen.
“For example, say a company is in production late, say between 12 and 2am, and the press is running late. In this instance the Davinci software can send the production manager or the person in charge of the equipment an SMS telling them that production is running late and then they can come and intervene,” he says.
Mergen says this is particularly useful in large production houses where there is very few staff operating the machinery, or if they are frequently away from the production site.
“This system is particularly useful in large production houses where the staff are frequently away from the production site for extended periods of time,’” he explains. “It could also be used to notify sales reps, to tell them that the job is finished and ready to be taken from the shop floor to the customer,” he says.
As well as sending SMS notification, the new version of Davinci can notify of any discrepancies between accounts payable and accounts receivable via email. Mergen says this option is particularly useful for rectifying problems as soon as they arise.
“Because the Divinci software automatically responds to any discrepancies in the accounts, any problems encountered in this regards are quickly rectified, and this in turn leads to an increase in productivity and it also frees up shop staff time – with not much operator intervention required in the accounts process,” he says.
Also included in the Divinci software is the innovative estimating platforms Debtection and Intellipay, which use the Commercial Predictive Analysis facility (CPA).
The Debtection module performs an extensive daily analysis of a businesses accounts receivable data and then builds a complex model for each of the company’s debtors. These modules allow Davinci to make accurate predictions regarding when the debtor is likely to pay an invoice and also form an opinion (on an ongoing basis) regarding the credit worthiness of a particular debtor at any point in time.
Linked to the Debtection of the Davinci software, the Intellipay module estimates the expected weekly cash flow of the organisation and tells the operator what they will be able to pay their creditors and or their staff.
