In addition to his role as prepress manager at Currie Group, Richard Watson has now assumed the role of Queensland state manager. The position was left vacant following the passing of Haymen Zalm last year.

Watson has nearly 30 years experience in the industry, working both overseas and within the Australian marketplace.

As a former Queensland state manager for Itek Graphix from 1990 to 2000, coupled with his international role with ECRM, he brings considerable experience to the Queensland operation and the Currie Group.

Currie Group sales director Bernie Robinson says Watson took up the position from January 1, 2006.

“Reporting directly to the sales director, we have no doubt Richard will continue the strong growth Haymen introduced to the Queensland operation during his tenure,” says Robinson.
