GrafikaLinks, the Australian distributor of quality printing and prepress equipment for companies Presstek, Kimoto and ABD, is pleased to announce its latest product from Presstek, the Presstek Vector TX 52 thermal platesetter. Managing director of GrafikaLinks, Michael Malone, says the Presstek Vector TX52 fully chemical-free thermal platesetter is what you’d expect from a company as experienced as Presstek. He says the TX52 gives customers a highly economical platesetter without substituting on quality.

“This is a low cost device to save customers significant costs and manufactured by a company that you can always expect a superior quality product,” says Malone.

“We’ve been distributing the systems for a couple of months and since that time we’ve seen a positive response from customers. Presstek is the pioneer in chemical-free CTP, they were one of the first companies to develop the direct imaging process and because of that, you can be sure of what you’re getting,” he says.

New owners of a Vector TX52 platesetter Kay and Michael Collett from Applause Press in Queensland, say they were impressed by the system’s convenient features.

“What we really liked about the machine was the fact that it was chemical-free and didn’t require a darkroom,” explains Kay Collett.

Additionally, the couple says size was a factor in their decision, with the reduced footprint of the Vector TX52 - with its inbuilt platewasher - offering a more efficient use of space in the limited confines of a small company premises.

The Presstek Vector TX52 thermal platesetter and Freedom chemistry-free plates provide a unique metal platemaking solution for higher productivity, cleaner operation and lower materials and production costs. Using breakthrough technology the Vector TX52 can achieve a high output of up to 20 plates per hour at low production costs and the Presstek’s ThinDrum and SureFire technology, ensures consistency is maintained throughout the prepress process.
