NEW Optimus MIS
product launch  printing - large format

Durst has launched its new Rho 1000 continuous UV printer, which the company says can be integrated into existing manufacturing processes, at this month’s Fespa Digital conference.

Durst says the large format printer guarantees a maximum output of up to 600 boards per hour and includes the Quadro Array printhead technology together with Durst’s workflow configuration which can integrate into existing manufacturing processes (screen and offset printing).

In addition to continuous board printing, the Rho 1000 provides optimum material flexibility, being able to print on sheets, heavy boards and roll media. There is minimum set-up time, and it can be loaded and unloaded using screen printing methods and systems, according to the company.

Durst continues that a major benefit to users is that customer print orders can be completed in one go using the widest range of media.

The company has also launched its new Rho 800 HS (High Speed), which is able to increase production by 80 per cent and the new Rho 500R, which is a 5m roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer that combines an output of 400sqm with 600 dpi 6-colour print quality.

Durst adds that the Rho 800 HS almost doubles its production output over the standard Rho 800 Presto to a maximum of 216 boards per hour, while the Rho 500R is designed for printing a wide variety of large format display items such as 5m wide vinyl banners and mesh for facade cladding, it will also print three 1.6m rolls together.
