New eRez Image Server

Trio Technologies has released the new eRez Image Server 3, offering enhanced web based image management that enables printers and publishers to store, manage and process their images from any web browser. Version 3 adds to its predecessors by offering full text searching, enhanced workflow, mobile phone access and support for PDF and other files formats. The workflow is enhanced as eRez 3.0 automatically monitors hot folders and keeps the database updated automatically when new files are added, updated and deleted. A new plug-in facilitates rendering, previewing and zooming into PDF, EPS and Illustrator files as well as handling a wide range of other file types. eRez 3.0’s Flash based viewer means users can view and zoom into hires images from any web browser. eRez 3.0 also enables the production of any file in a myriad of different file formats.

The updated search engine provides eRez users with search functions like those found in the most popular internet search engines, such as high speed indexing, content search in text documents, sorting of search results by relevance and multi-page result displaying.

The new "Publish to Web" function facilitates quick and easy publishing of images on the Internet – as a single image, a collection of images, a Flash Slideshow or a zoomable and navigable Image Showcase.

An innovative feature of eRez 3.0 is the PDA/Smart Phone interface. Images taking up as much as gigabytes of server space can be browsed and viewed in detail from anywhere using a mobile phone with a UMTS (3G), GPRS or even a GSM Internet connection.
