Digital Press manufacturer, MGI Digital Graphic Technology – along with its Australian distributor, GBC Australia – is set to launch the Meteor DP20 4-in-1 digital photo press for the Australian market at imaging technology exhibition, PMA Australia 2009, which opens in Sydney this Friday.
GBC says the Meteor DP20 is the industry’s first all-inclusive digital solution that can print, laminate, crease & cut in just one pass. The four-colour digital press uses dry toner and prints and laminates pages in auto-duplex mode. The press accommodates a range of papers up to 304 x 457mm and up to 270gsm. The Meteor DP20 produces prints in resolutions up to 1800 dpi with an output of up to 10 photo books per hour, and in-line finishing options including duplex lamination and horizontal and vertical cutting and creasing, according to GBC.
The distributor continues that the press gives photo professionals the option to offer additional premium printing applications such as flyers, brochures, business cards, postcards and personalised book covers.
The Meteor DP20 is the central component of – My PhotoBook Shop – MGI’s complete on-demand digital photo production solution from designing through finishing, which the company claims is an ideal solution for independent photo retailers, professional photographers and photo chains.
