MeadWestvaco launches new board

foil  packaging  product launch
MeadWestvaco’s Packaging Resources Group (PRG) is launching a new folding carton board, Kraftpak. The company says Kraftpak has a clean, natural look that can be used to project or enhance extremely diverse brand images. Companies can use its clean, unbleached appearance and distinctive graphic reproduction to create a unique image or make a bold statement. Kraftpak is marketed as a versatile board with applications ranging from department store (shirt) boxes and automotive parts packaging to soap cartons and beverage carriers.

Kraftpak is also suitable for direct-food contact. It is suitable for packages for shelf-stable items, such as dry milk, mixes and pasta and rice side-dishes; cakes, pies and other fresh bakery items; candy and snacks; and other foods. And because it exhibits excellent scoring and folding characteristics, cartons made from Kraftpak help packaged-goods companies maximize efficiencies on high-speed filling lines.

In addition, Kraftpak can be polycoated for increased barrier protection against oils and water, making it a popular choice for pizza boxes, hot and cold cups and to-go containers for fast-food and restaurant carry-out. It also exhibits excellent wet strength and climatic endurance, making Kraftpak perfect for bulk distribution and retail display of frozen foods.
