MBO showed at drupa a complete High-Tech programme for large size presses with the efficient Buckle Folding Machines T 1020, T 1120, T 1420 and T 1620 of the Perfection series. All large-size folding machines can be configured with palletized feeders, while the T 1020 and T 1120 versions can be equipped with continuous feeders, too. Control technologies MC and Navigator have been introduced, and contribute to the increase of automation and to the reduction of the set-up time. Additionally, the automatic setting of buckle plates has enormous advantages: gaining time and avoiding physical strain.
In the digital printing field, MBO has developed the Inline Combi and Buckle Folding Units Digi-Folder DF- K 520 and DF-T 560 which can be sorted into finishing lines with extremely short set-up times. The folding units have an independent drive and can be delivered with semi- or fully-automatic control.
With the Digi-Finisher MBO TT 530 comes the successful combination of buckle folding and plow-fold in one unit. In connection with a Hohner saddle stitcher, sheets of 4 and 8 pages are processed to saddle-stitched brochures. The Digi-Finisher can be used for digital as well as for offset printing products. Even the mixed processing of offset and digital printing is possible. A Barcode Control and Monitoring System allows the production of individualised brochures in contents and dimension, even for one single edition, non-stop and always checked to completeness.
The new fully-automatic Buckle Folding Machine T 800 from MBO allows format changeovers in less than one minute. Consequently the possibility of adding value increases in industrial binderies and departments of print finishing.
