Make time work harder for you
Ricoh  market trends

Around 50 managers of printers and implants took the opportunity to taste some of the nation’s best wine at a Ricoh technology forum in Sydney last night, with a lively debate ensuing.

Ricoh had a dozen bottles of 2002 Grange Penfold, 11 of which were keenly imbibed by the assembled throng, with the 12th presented as a prize to Robert Fuller of Focus Press for being first to press his buzzer with a correct answer.

The company had assembled an expert panel to lead discussion on various topics, comprising Kathy Wilson, print production general manager at Ricoh, Philip Andersen, CEO of Printing Industries, Gary Knespal, CEO of GASAA, Rob Robertson, deputy president of NIPPA, and Anthony Parnemann from EFI.

Topics discussed included the growth of digital, the future of offset, the role of cross media, business applications, and Ipex. Industry veteran Steve Crowe moderated, a role which at times proved a tad taxing as the printers present were more than keen to share their views and debate the issues, especially once the Grange had been consumed.
