The NSW chapter of the Lithographic Institute of Australia (LIA) has announced the first of its events for the year, with a tour of Wizardry Signage and Imaging at Botany, Sydney. Slated for Tuesday, February 2, the evening will commence at 6pm at Wizardry, 1 –3 Salisbury Street, Botany, and the event will be hosted by co owner, Bryan Martin. The plant tour will take in the latest in ‘Ultra Wide’ imaging equipment, as well as some of the remarkable output of his staff’s endeavours.

Amir Kleinstern, NUR Asia Pacific managing director will also be on hand, and will speak to the group after dinner about the global impact and the future projections for this dramatically growing technology.

Very few printers will wish to challenge Bryan Martin and others in the Ultra Wide market, but the mid range of ink jet printers are proving to be hot property in the market right now. Following Amir’s presentation, Michael Laird, Cyrachrome managing director, will bring guests up to date with the developments in this market segment.

Dinner will be held at The Graphic Arts Club, 182 Coward Street, Mascot, at 7.30pm. Costs are $40 for LIA members, and $49 for non-members

Advance bookings can be made by phoning Robyn Baker on 8789 7300 or by fax on 9789 7387.
