Label manufacturer Label Power has launched the VP485 Industrial Colour inkjet and label printer. The printer, which was released at last month’s PacPrint is perfectly positioned for users who need to print larger runs than traditionally printed on short run inkjet label printers, according to the company.

Label Power says the VP485 has many new features including separate ink tanks, which means that it is not necessary to replace all 3 tanks should one colour become depleted. The VP485 is also one of the fastest inkjet printers on the market today.

The company says, “The VP485 is the next generation of printer following on from the VIP Color VP2020 which Label Power first exhibited at Foodpro 2002 Trade show. Using Hewlett Packard inkjet technology the VP485 can print full colour labels and tags on demand and has full bleed printing capability.”

Label Power adds it custom manufactures and supplies a range of ex stock labels for the VP485 in gloss paper, matt synthetic, Powerjet white photo quality glossy synthetic and Powerjet clear photo quality glossy synthetic stocks.

The VP485 printer includes a print speed of 102mm/s in draft mode, print quality up to 4,800dpi x 1,200dpi optimised graphics and a specially designed external powered label roll unwind unit.
