KL hosts PMA

Heidelberg  training
Malaysia has been announced as the next country to take part in Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy (PMA) Winter University. Head to Kuala Lumpur in January the PMA gives print and media managers from around the world the chance to gain hands-on experience through one week of intensive training.

Designed as a complimentary program to the Summer University in Heidelberg, Germany, the Winter University provides participants with practical management expertise focusing on business strategies, innovative production processes, and sales in print media businesses.

In collaboration with industry experts from Europe and Asia Pacific like the Melbourne-based management consultancy Synthesis Australia, PMA has developed programme covering a wide range of topics.

It offers insights into new marketing strategies, technology trends in the print media industry, finance and controlling as well as standardisation and workflow issues.

Head of the PMA in Heidelberg, Bernd Schopp says that the short course will give strategic hints on how to find new business opportunities and expand into new areas.

"During our next Winter University, we will support managers discover new opportunities to master the challenges of the print media industry - not just through professional lectures and workshops, but also by networking with other participants,” says Schopp.

The open atmosphere within the group of participants from different nations offers many opportunities to exchange views and experiences, during and after classes. Breaks and evenings will be filled with a diverse programme of activities and excursions.

There are 13 sites in the PMA network, and the United Arabic Emirates and Brasil have already taken part in the programme.
