PacPrint will be the launch site of a new spot UV on demand solution, Spotmatic, from Jet Technologies on stand F50. Jet says the newly released Spotmatic brings digital inkjet technology together with UV varnish technology to deliver a leap forward for the varnishing industry.
Spot UV varnishing is traditionally performed on a screen printing machine, requiring a screen to be produced for each job.The Screen process is both time-consuming and costly, meaning that it is not suited to short-run work such as over-varnishing digital print. The Spotmatic changes all that - artwork for the varnished area is input via a digital file, ensuring workflow compatability and printed with inkjet heads prior to being cured through UV lamps. The result says is a perfect UV varnish print from the first sheet.
Jet Technologies will also announce the launch of a new Anilox-cleaning and inspection service, catering for a wide range of Anilox sizes - from the smallest to 2m-wide Aniloxes.
Each Anilox that is received is microscopically photographed and measured for cell volume prior to cleaning, as well as post-cleaning to ensure that it is returned in pristine condition.
A full report is supplied with the Anilox, detailing our findings as well as any recommendations or comments Jet may have.
Once received, Aniloxes are inspected, cleaned and sent back out within 24 hours.
