JDF pioneers Keith McMurtrie and Eamon Booth are visiting Melbourne to demonstrate new innovations in JDF integration between e-commerce and variable data and printing on-demand.

Two identical sessions sponsored by Mosaic MIS, Tharstern, and Kodak's Graphic Communications Group will be hosted on July 5, in Melbourne at the Kodak head office on Victoria Parade.

Tharstern managing director Keith McMurtrie and product and development manager Eamon Booth will travel from the UK at the invitation of Mosaic MIS, sole distributor of TharsternSQL systems in Australia and New Zealand. McMurtrie and Booth will share with Australian audiences the latest application of JDF technology that is being widely adopted in the UK.

Together they will demonstrate how Tharstern Print Management Software integrates with e-commerce solutions and Kodak systems to create tighter business controls, and to open up business opportunities with the introduction of advanced e-commerce and variable data capture and control. The seminars examine real business case studies that demonstrate achievable business outcomes.

Throughout the sessions, attendees will discover:

  • the benefits of MIS and having the capacity to connect estimating, job costing, purchase order processing, materials and stock control, and production scheduling;
  • how to use MIS data to compare and evaluate Key Performance Indicators;
  • the value of e-commerce and variable data;
  • how the internet can be used to automate orders;
  • print workflow innovations by Tharstern and Kodak's Graphic Communications Group; and
  • how to leverage the Kodak Prinergy and Kodak NexPress systems using the fully JDF compliant TharsternSQL solution to produce fully customised printing on demand.

Closing with a Q&A session, the forum provides an opportunity for Melbourne printers to gain access to some of the world's leading innovators in the application of JDF technology. Seats are limited, and bookings are essential.

Session 1: Registration starts 9am. Session ends 12pm
Session 2: Registration starts 12pm. Session ends 4pm
