Heidelberg performs at Winter Olympics

Heidelberg
It won’t only be athletes showcasing their talents at the upcoming Winter Olympics in Turn, Italy, Heidelberg will also get the chance to do so. Heidelberg is involved in its third games in succession as a "purveyor of news" at the Olympics. Results will arrive straight from the Olympics venues at a print shop in Turin, where they will be put into a newsletter, printed, and distributed to German Olympics participants, teams of organisers, and guests at the Deutsches Haus.

A daily eight page newsletter, printed on a Speedmaster SM 74, is being produced in collaboration with Italian customer Moglia and under the editorial control of the Handelsblatt sports desk.

As it is primarily aimed at visitors to the Deutsches Haus, it is only right that the operator of the Deutsches Haus, Deutsche Sportmarketing Gesellschaft (German Sport Marketing), is also on board.

These professional teams will ensure that all the results from the 84 competitions in the 15 disciplines are recorded, processed, printed, and then distributed.

There will also be a newsletter from Heidelberg at the Paralympics, which are being held immediately afterwards from March 10 - 19, 2006 in the Piemont region.

This newsletter will be produced by an agency specialising in sports for the disabled (RUGO) in conjunction with the Berliner Morgenpost and the Goethe Institute.
