GMG to be distributed by Frontline
European colour management experts GMG have appointed Frontline Technologies as exclusive New Zealand distributors for their range of products. Frontline have a long relationship with Henry Ng, who heads GMG’s Asian operation. Frontline’s Craig Gemmell says it gives him a great deal of confidence working with Ng, as he is one of the most respected people in colour management in the Asia Pacific region. Together with a strong product portfolio, the team is set for success.
“GMG has an excellent suite of solutions in the field of colour management, and we see huge potential in the print market with these products,” Gemmell says.
With Frontline’s recent name change to Frontline Technologies (previously they were Frontline Graphics), GMG is a perfect fit: “We want our name change to represent the fact that we are a solution-based company. We see GMG as an excellent complement to this approach.”
While GMG is just starting to make a name for itself in this part of the world, it has already forged a powerful name in Europe, where it has gained a strong share of the market over the 20+ years of its existence. With high quality, productive and innovative products like its InkOptimizer which can reduce ink costs by up to 25 per cent while improving print quality, the company is expected to make a big splash here in New Zealand.
With Frontline Technologies’ vast experience in providing colour management services in New Zealand, Gemmell says that GMG will provide a natural extension for that expertise with its impressive portfolio of solutions.
In the packaging market, as well, Frontline sees enormous potential: “GMG have been doing a lot of work for packaging customers with Esko-Graphics in Europe. As we’re Esko-Graphics agents, that has a good flow-on for our New Zealand customers.”
Gemmell sees products like InkOptimizer and Camflow, a tool for optimising and standardising digital image data, as potentially having a major impact in New Zealand.
“When people see what these products can do for their businesses, I think they will be pleasantly surprised. The InkOptimizer for example, can save them up to 25 per cent of their ink costs in a year. That’s a substantial amount of money, and people will recognise that.”
