Fespa closes on all-time high
Emphasising the immense interest in inkjet printing seen by Australian printers at PacPrint the world’s biggest wide format show Fespa 2005 closed its doors in Munich, Germany, on June 4 on an all-time high, with record numbers of visitors to the event. On average, some 4000 new visitors streamed through Fespa’s halls every single day of the show, bringing the total number of visitors to 20,301, double that of the last Fespa exhibition in Madrid in 2002. A remarkable proportion of visitors returned to the show on consecutive days, meaning the total number of visits to the show exceeded 33,025. International attendance was higher than ever, with visitors from omore than 100 different countries. The visitor figures do not include the 6000 registered exhibitors from a record breaking 532 exhibiting companies.
This made for a buoyant environment for the screen and digital technology manufacturers who brought their products to market in Munich, and visitors left with new insights into the technologies and techniques which will help them drive their business forward in the years ahead.
Fespa Exhibition Director, Frazer Chesterman says: “We couldn’t be more thrilled with what we achieved with this show. The event met the needs of our exhibitors and provided a stimulating learning and buying environment for screen and digital printers. The seminars, a first-time feature of Fespa 2005, were well attended, and the stands were buzzing with activity.
“This is a fast-moving industry with exciting new applications emerging all the time. Fespa 2005 was an international showcase for technical and production innovation, and we left Munich highly motivated to work with exhibitors and visitors to look at how we can deliver an even better Fespa event in Berlin in June 2007.”
Fespa 2007 will be held in Berlin, Germany from June 5-9 2007. A new digital-focused Fespa event, Fespa Digital Printing Europe, will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands from May 16-18 2006.
