Ferag has released the new QuickStrap cross-strapping machine onto the Australian market, promising customers high production speeds despite its compact size thanks to new, patented technology.
According to Ferag, the heart of the QuickStrap machine is based on a completely new concept, featuring patented components. At 40 cycles a minute, the strapping machine is configured for the high performance of the latest press and postpress processing systems. The design includes straightforward, secure machine handling with logical user guidance on the 145mm touch-screen. Ferag has also taken compatibility into account. In addition to the interface with the generic control and management system, QuickStrap has been designed to integrate into any system environment.
However, Ferag feels the greatest achievement with this machine lies in its compact nature. The size of the mechanics and control has been reduced to a minimum, and the central function of its flat-track allows direct longitudinal and cross strapping without bundle rotation. Strapping tape can also be readied for the next strapping sequence while the previously strapped bundle is leaving the machine.
The system also utilises cold welding, which purportedly eliminates warm-up time and odour emissions, which in turn improves efficiency and the working environment.
The digital, touchscreen-activated control integrated with this device also ensures that welding time is constant with each cycle. As an integral component of the overall machine control, the ultrasonic welding process remains free from external influences like power and temperature fluctuations, guaranteeing high stability for the welding sequence.
