A beleaguered print industry is hoping for a shot in the arm this week with PacPrint, the biggest event of the year, now open for business.

Fujifilm has been awarded the entire printing plate business for Fairfax Media across all of its newspaper and magazine printing sites in Australia and New Zealand after a tender process, in a deal valued at around $30m.
