Excellence in paper processing from Hunkeler

paper  product launch  drupa  printing - digital
Swiss manufacturer, Hunkeler, offers comprehensive solutions in digital printing, web finishing and paper disposal at drupa in hall 14, stand A40. The CS4-2 longitudinal and cross cutting module for pinless production on digital printing lines is on show for the first time ever, and processes light- and heavy-weight papers between 40 and 250 gsm. An integral switch allows sheets to be ejected at a processing speed of 150 m/min.

Automatic synchronisation on the register marks and UP3I makes for very easy operating and short change-over times. Sheets of 27" length are stacked offset on the LS4 long-format stacker. Dynamic longitudinal and cross perforation will also be on display with the latest endless folder generation.

The new Variweb universal UM 520-W module for die-cutting, perforating and longitudinal cross cutting with cut-outs brings increased product diversity to web finishing. Combined with the use of RFID transponders, a complete system for the production of intelligent documents will be on display.

A large-scale system will be demonstrating the high performance of paper waste disposal installations. Offcuts and edge strips are fed to the paper separator downstream from the ten collection stations at 20,000 cubic meter air volume. After cleaning in the Jet-Filter, transport air is recirculated to the production hall, and waste is automatically compacted in the bale press.
