The OneFlow 2.0 is a simple to use, cost-effective solution for streamlining digital and offset printing and proofing with a range of advanced digital prepress tools, the company says.
While EFI’s traditional position in print was a quieter, less public role as the producer of the Fiery range of RIPs, it is coming increasingly into the public eye, with its selection of MIS, proofing solutions and print controllers.
Marc Olin, vice president and general manager of commercial print systems says that the company was keen to build up its profile in the Asia Pacific region.
"We hope to establish a major presence in the Australia and New Zealand markets in the near future," he says.
Olin joined EFI as a result of the company’s purchase of Printcafe, which he ran. He continues to manage that part of the business, and says it has rocketed ahead since joining EFI, having its best ever Q1 as a group and seeing burgeoning sales.
The first thing EFI did after purchasing Printcafe was to increase its R&D resources by 20 per cent, Olin says, having a huge impact on the group‚s ability to release new products.
At the JDF drupa, EFI emphasised that it was fully behind the industry standard: "We’ve been committed to it from the start," Olin says.
