In line with its environmental focus K.W.Doggett Fine Paper has launched its 2010 calendar under the theme ‘Paper Dogs’ which is based on sustainability and recycling.

The paper merchant says with already fantastic reviews, this years’ calendar pays homage to the sustainable use of paper while exploring the creative possibilities in which paper can be transformed.

The calendar months also show how customers can tear, rip, fold, twist and shred paper to make innovative artwork and design while recycling. The Australian Graphic Design Association student council in Queensland were responsible for creating the calendar designs.

Catherine Doggett, marketing manager at K.W.Doggett Fine Paper says the company has a long history in supporting design students.

She says, “It’s a win-win situation for a lot of reasons, students have been doing the calendar for over 15 years.”

Doggett continues, “Not only is it a great opportunity for students to work on a live brief, but it also gives them a chance to see what happens behind the scenes, like at pre-press and attending a press-check.”

The calendar is a gift to customers; it provides good solid imagery for the print industry and can inspire new concepts for the design market, according to the company.

The 2010 calendar was printed by Queensland printshop Platypus Graphics.
