Melbourne’s D&D Global Group has again scored well in the Premier Print Awards, this year securing three Benny (Benjamin Franklin) awards and 15 Certificates of Merit in the globally recognised competition. Since first entering the US-based awards competition in 2003, D&D has been awarded no less than 13 Bennys. The 2006 Premier Print Awards will be presented at a gala event to be during GraphExpo/PackExpo in Chicago on October 15. D&D’s Drago Zorec will travel to the US once again to pick up his company’s awards, and will then travel on to Budpaest in Hungary for the presentation of the SAPPI awards.

D&D Global competed with hundreds of companies from around the world who entered their work in the Premier Print Awards hoping that their work would be recognised as worthy of a Benny.

For over 50 years, printers have found that winning a Premier Print Award can be a powerful tool in helping to grow their business. Receiving an award in the largest, most prestigious print competition in the world tells printers’ customers and prospects that their company produces some of the finest print in the world today.

Begun in 1950 as the Graphics Arts Awards Competition, the programme attracts entries from companies in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and the Pacific Rim. Thousands of entries are scrutinised by a panel of judges, who select the winners of Certificates of Merit, Awarda of Achievement, Best of Division and The Benny.

Sponsors of the 2006 Premier Print Awards are Heidelberg, Adobe, Hewlett Packard, Utica National Insurance, Kodak and Xerox.
