With the announcement of its certification under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Chain of Custody, Dalton says it has bolstered its reputation of delivering to the Australian market the paper it wants when and where it wants it.
Founded in 1999, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation which promotes responsible and sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification.
PEFC certification strengthens Dalton's position in the local market as a stable and credible source of papers to suit all end needs. It's also reflective of their market-leading approach to service excellence, following such initiatives as when, in 2005, Dalton, along with Spicers, became the first paper merchant to be certified under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody scheme.
While some in the marketplace see PEFC and FSC as competing entities, Dalton regards the dual endorsement as yet another opportunity to put its renowned delivery network to good use for the benefit of its customers, with a greater range of environmentally responsible paper grades to choose from.
Dalton holds PEFC certification number SGS-PEFC/COC-0160. The full list of available paper grades will filter into the market over the coming months.
