Currie Group has replaced Agfa Graphics as a major sponsor of the National Print Awards. After a 25 year partnership with award organisers, Agfa has relinquished its sponsorship as part of a realignment of its financial commitments.

Under the new arrangement, Currie Group will join Heidelberg Australia and PaperlinX as major sponsors of the event.

NPA Chairman Scott Telfer says, “We are delighted that David Currie and his team have taken the opportunity to become a major sponsor of the National Print Awards after many, many years of support from Currie Group as a patron of the event.”

Telfer continues, “After such a long and positive partnership, we are obviously disappointed that Agfa will not be continuing its sponsorship of the National Print Awards this year however we fully understand and respect the company’s decision and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their outstanding support.”

Telfer also says that without the support of sponsors, the Awards would not have been able to continue for the past 26 years.

He concludes, “With Currie Group stepping up as a major sponsor, and with the continued support of our other sponsors and patrons, we look forward to another outstanding celebration of excellence at this year’s Awards, coinciding with PacPrint 09.”
