Creo PODS bursts onto scene
Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group (PODS), a unit of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, will cooperate with partners to present a range of Creo digital colour servers driving digital printers at Ipex 2006. The large range of colour servers displayed at several partners’ stands demonstrates Creo PODS’ leading position in the professional high-end digital print market. Creo PODS products will be featured at the following partner stands:
• Hewlett-Packard will launch the new HP Indigo Production Stream Server powered by Creo, which was announced last fall at Print 05 in Chicago, US. Production Stream Servers will demonstrate the transfer of offset print jobs using Kodak Prinergy workflow systems to an HP Indigo digital press. Hall 4, Stand B25
• Konica Minolta demonstrates the IC-301 print controller, powered by Creo, that drives the bizhub PRO C500 colour production printing system. Launched in Europe in late 2005, the IC-301 print controller has already proven to be an exciting solution for Konica Minolta printing system users. Hall 4, Stand B 41
• Xerox Corporation features the Creo SPIRE colour server driving several Xerox DocuColor digital colour presses . In 2005, for the second year running, Xerox recognised the Creo PODS Group for its outstanding partnership and business success with the title, Strategic Software Partner of the Year. Creo PODS Group general manager Ronen Cohen, says Creo digital colour servers are the leading workflow solution for high-end production digital presses. “Creo colour servers connect to leading suppliers in the digital print industry in several market segments and show workflow integration with many partners. This indicates Creo’s leadership and open connectivity,” says Cohen.
Creo digital colour servers feature powerful RIPing, outstanding colour quality, and optimized production tools for variable information and document printing.
