packaging  market trends
A breakthrough in yogurt on packaging for the region has been developed by Chadwicks and Parmalat. Chadwicks, a member of the Condalkin Group of companies has been working closely with Parmalat on a product launch. Chadwick’s recess foils have proved be to ideal to overcome the challenge of the housing of a spoon under the overlid for consumer ease. John Savage Chadwick’s manager Pacific Region says, “At Chadwicks we are keen to bring innovation and problem solving to our customers in the region.

Jane Hammond, Parmalat’s senior product manager – yoghurts adds, “Until now, grabbing a healthy yoghurt snack on the run hasn’t been easy. You need to remember to bring your own spoon and if for some reason you can’t get to finish it, there is no easy way to securely re-seal it for finishing later on. That’s where the convenience of new Vaalia Yoghurt - To Go really hits the spot. Vaalia’s deliciously creamy Low Fat yoghurt is now available in 150gram snack-sized packs, complete with a spoon under the overlid. The bold lid graphics give great shelf impact and highlight the spoon clearly to the consumer. The product will be distributed widely throughout outlets in Australia.
