Aldus strengthens flexo business with Schiavi

Aldus  printing - flexo

Aldus Engineering is now responsible for both the Schiavi and Fischer & Krecke flexo press lines. The new agreement comes following the recent acquisition of Fischer & Krecke by the Bobst Group, meaning that both the Fischer & Krecke as well as the Schiavi range of CI flexo presses are now part of the Bobst product line.

Aldus says the Schiavi range of eight colour CI presses compliments the popular Fischer & Krecke 14S and 16S 10 colour range, thus giving the Bobst group ,and Aldus in Australia and New Zealand, a much broader market potential in the flexographic industry.

Ian Guanaria at Aldus says clients will see the benefits of the joint cooperation in the design and manufacture of the complete range of machines in the near future, according to the company.

The Bobst range of CI presses for the flexible packaging market now comprises of:

  • Schiavi EF 4030 8 colour machine designed for a maximum web width of 1320mm, maximum speed of 350mpm, with a repeat range of 400mm to 860mm.
  • Schiavi EF 4040 8 colour machine designed for a maximum web width of 1650mm, maximum speed of 350mpm, with a repeat range of 400mm to 1020mm.
  • Fischer & Krecke FP 14S 8 colour machine designed for a maximum web width of 1650mm, maximum speed of 400 or 600mpm, with a repeat range of 320mm to 800mm.
  • Fischer & Krecke FP 16S series 10 colour machines designed for a maximum web width of 1700mm, maximum speed of 600mpm, with a repeat range of 320mm to 1050mm.

The 16S is also now available with the Smart GPS, Graphic Positioning System, that was released at the recent Drupa show in Dusseldorf.

The company adds that in addition to these Fischer & Krecke also offer the 96-S, which is well known in the Australian corrugated preprint industry.
