Times of India orders manroland web

The Times of India has signed an order with manroland web systems featuring seven Regioman towers and three folders for its various production centres in India.

Announced at drupa, manroland web systems describes it as one of the largest web press deals for India. Times of India and manroland web systems have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with multiple printing systems from different manroland web press series such as Colorman, Geoman, Regioman and Cromoman.

Peter Kuisle, member of the Management Board at manroland web systems, says, “We are delighted to announce our latest agreement with Bennett, Coleman & Co for their order of multiple Regioman towers and folders. manroland web systems has been Times of India’s leading technology solutions partner for several years now. We are proud to be associated again with Times of India in their latest expansion plans.”

Times of India, owned and published by Bennett, Coleman & Co, is India’s largest-selling daily newspaper in English language and also has the largest circulation among all English-language newspapers in the world. The company says the new Regioman order enables an expansion that will significantly enhance the production capacity of the newspaper group, which is the publisher of various newspaper titles such as The Times of India, The Economic Times, Mumbai Mirror, Pune Mirror, Bangalore Mirror, Ahmedabad Mirror, Navbharat Times, Maharashtra Times, Vijay Karnataka, and Usha Kiran.
