Avery Dennison, self−adhesive solutions supplier for label materials, has teamed up with EskoArtwork and ExxonMobil Chemical to provide narrow web label converters the PacVantage fidelity solution. This will enable them to make colour adjustments during the proofing stage and match them on press with little or no adjustment.

Narrow web label converters using EskoArtwork software with PacVantage technology can now buy Avery Dennison self-adhesive labels faced with Digilyte films with the results of guaranteed colour.

Avery Dennison has extensive experience collaborating with HP to deliver pre-optimised digital labelling materials for printing on the range of HP Indigo industrial roll fed presses. These materials exhibit excellent print quality and a one year print shelf life, according to the company.

EskoArtwork says press label converters who adopt its PacVantage technology reap the benefits of a guaranteed colour match between a proof and final print. With PacVantage technology, digital proofs are printed on an HP Designjet Z3100 proofer in the prepress department or at the customer's location. With a guaranteed colour match between the proof and the printed label, approvals can be made up front and the productivity of the press can be optimised.

Brian Oost, business lines development manager, Avery Dennison Roll Materials says, “Globally, Avery Dennison offers the broadest range of substrates for the HP Indigo press. As the leader in the market, we could immediately see the advantage of joining EskoArtwork and ExxonMobil Chemical, two other leaders, to participate in this exciting offer.”

EskoArtwork adds that Initial feedback from customers indicates that converters who use PacVantage technology can save up to $175,000 per press on an annual basis.
