Taiwanese based label press manufacturer Orthotec has announced that two of the winning labels, which were entered into the World Label Association Awards were printed on Orthotec presses.
The company says that the 2008 letter press category was won by the Camel Coffee label, which was printed on an Orthotec Intermittent Rotary machine.Meanwhile, the 2008 silk screen category was taken out by the BIOCID PLUS pharmaceutical label printed on the Orthotec SRN3030 Machine.
The World Label Association Awards is a global competition in which include participation from the USA (TLMI), Japan (JFLP), Europe (FINAT), Australia (LATMA) and New Zealand (SALMA).
In order for companies to compete and to win an award, their entry has to win a prize in their own local label awards competition first. Each Association then selects entries for the WLAA from their nominated or winning entries, which are judged and possibly rewarded with the World Label Association Award.
