UK based company GEW will introduce its new IsoCure UV curing system at the European Coatings Show, which takes place in Nuremberg next March.

GEW says the new system cures a range of coatings, pressure sensitive adhesives, silicone release, printing inks, sealants and cationic chemistries, and can be adapted for use in other industrial applications. The company claims the system provides up to 20 per cent more UV output, while reducing energy consumption by as much as 30 per cent.

Available in arc lengths from 500 mm to over 2000 mm, the system can also be supplied with GEW’s inert atmosphere technology for higher operating speeds and for food packaging where there is a need to displace oxygen from the curing zone.

The company also says that IsoCure is fully water-cooled which dispenses with the need for fans or ducting to cool the lamps, placing less demand on heating and air conditioning sources.
