Currie & Co is showing the new Horizon BQ470 perfect binder as the centerpiece of its stand.
Aimed at medium to large size printers the BQ470's major claim to fame is its ability to exchange different glue tanks. So EVA and PUR can be placed in the perfect binder according to the customer specification with none of the normal make ready time. The 470 is the bigger brother to the BQ270, which has been successfully sold in Australia for the past four years by Curries.
The packed stand also contains Horizon's new Stitchliner 5500, as well as the new stitch fold trim SPF200A. Currie says the latter is robust, with stitch detectors, and will trim a 5mm foredge. It also comes with touchscreen control.
A full digital workflow, the EWF3 is in operation, and visitors will also be able to see the new DPX-2 two-up polyester platesetter, as well as a four-up ECRM Mako metal platesetter.
When it comers to presses there is a Shinohara 52, printing from both metal and polyester plates.
