KPG in NexPress reseller agreement
Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) has come to an agreement with NexPress Solutions under which KPG will sell NexPress and Digimaster products on a worldwide basis, with both companies to actively collaborate in the promotion and marketing. The agreement includes both the Kodak NexPress 2100 digital production colour press and the Kodak Digimaster E125 and E150 black and white digital printing systems.
Jeff Jacobson, KPG CEO, says, "KPG is committed to providing our customers with the best digital opportunities, including CTP, DI and digital printing. The NexPress and Digimaster presses give our customers access to a broader portfolio of solutions as they transition to and expand their digital workflows."
Venkat Purushotham, NexPress Solutions president and CEO, says, "KPG has great reach and presence in the graphic arts industry worldwide, making them an excellent reseller for the NexPress and Digimaster solutions. KPG customers will be able to enjoy the productivity and quality benefits of our digital printing systems."
Under the agreement, NexPress will continue to provide service for all installations of NexPress 2100 systems.
The Kodak NexPress 2100 digital production colour press is a high volume press that meets the growing need for fast turnaround, short run colour work, as well as the growing variable data print applications associated with one to one marketing applications. The recently announced Kodak NexPress fifth imaging unit solution further expands the press’s available colour gamut, enabling applications that require inline integration of specific Pantone colours. The fifth imaging solution also enables inline coating for applications requiring greater durability, such as direct mail.
The Kodak Digimaster E125 and E150 black and white print systems, with a resolution of 600x600dpi, employ a small particle developer and enhanced technology to deliver high quality documents with sharp text, crisp halftones and rich graphics. Featuring rapid image processing and print speeds of 125 and 150 pages per minute, respectively, the Kodak Digimaster E series is a group of highly productive presses that will support a duty cycle of three to five million impressions per month.
