Lamination Systems is providing new methods of production and new solutions for new markets

Having been in the laminating industry for over twenty years, and running a trade finishing service for that time, Lamination System understands the trends of the market and commit themselves to helping printers find solutions for their laminating requirements.

With the evolution from offset to digital especially in the smaller end of the market, the company is constantly trialling and testing all of the digital films in the market.  Whilst everyone seems to have a solution, Lamination Systems UltraBond brand has gone from strength to strength, and the company says it still stands as the preferred product for most digital applications.

Since the success of the launch of the UltraBond 520S at the PacPrint show last year, Lamination System has gone on to continue providing solutions, and now includes in its range the Minibond Desktop Laminator, with feed belts and rewind unit.

Lamination Systems says this SRA3 celloglazing machine is a proven entry level solution, allowing easy lamination for both digitally and offset printed applications.  This compact machine has a convenient one person operation with an accurate feed belt system, and built in rewind.
Alan Wright, managing director of Lamination Systems says, “This machine has the flexibility to be able to handle both offset and digital grade films, and with a small footprint makes it a perfect addition to any print room. It is ideal for short run laminating, the Minibond will save on time and money and allows in-house quality control.

“Our goal was to add to a small machine features only before seen in commercial celloglazing equipment, enabling ease of use for a single operator, and of course producing excellent results.”

Other features of the Minibond include a chrome top roller, open and close rollers and perforator wheel for easy sheet separation and no need for knives.
•  Lamination System has also recently launched its new website –
www.lamination.net.au.

The companys says it is a complete one stop shop for all laminating requirements, from wide format and commercial machines, to film and pouch supplies for every application.  Delivery is available throughout Australia and discounts are available for bulk purchases.

Introducing Silvershield anti-bacterial lamination film

Silvershield by BioLam is a thermal lamination film enhanced with a patented antimicrobial compound that inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria and other damaging microbes.

Silvershield is available in a range of thickness as with conventional laminating films due to the coating it is currently only available in a gloss finish.

Printed documents are frequently handled by many, perpetuating the growth of bacteria, mould and mildew.  Some items, like menus in a restaurant, charts in a doctor’s office, and school books for children are used in environments where unwelcome micro-organisms are common.  When bacteria are exposed to the agents in Silvershield the life cycle processes of the organism are interrupted and the reproductive capabilities are affected.

The beneficiaries of Silvershield are easy to spot - schools and day care facilities, hospitals and clinics, dental offices, restaurants and food service environments, retailers.

Applications include menus, book covers, aircraft safety cards, anatomical charts, counter mats, classroom materials, manuals, instructions or reference sheets, in fact any document which will be handled by multiple people.

Alan Wright says, “For those businesses and organisations that have a need for maintaining a hygienic environment, incorporating Silvershield laminating film on your printed piece provides another line of defence against the growth of bacteria, moulds, mildews and fungi. Silvershield is quite simply the most effective way to control the growth of micro-organisms on everyday laminated items.”
