Mondi’s first roots were first planted in 1967 in South Africa, when former owners Anglo American built the Merebank Mill. Following more than two decades’ growth and consolidation, many major companies – such as Austria’s Neusiedler – became part of Mondi
Mondi became an independent dual-listed business in mid-2007 when it successfully de-merged from Anglo American, with listings on the London and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges.

This range covers multifunctional, inkjet, colour laser, preprint and offset printing through many brands such IQ and Maestro, and also with the company’s flagship, colour laser paper brand, Color Copy.
Mondi says Color Copy guarantees needle-sharp printouts, brilliant colours (especially with digital printing), and its extensive range includes ten different grammages in various formats offering a wide choice of applications. It continues to develop according to the evolving requirements of colour laser printing and has been and approved by the leading equipment manufacturers. Color Copy was also the first paper for colour laser printers to receive certification from the internationally recognised Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Forest Stewardship Council certification allows consumers to recognise products that are manufactured from wood raw materials originating from well-managed forests, which are independently certified according to wide range of internationally recognised social, economic and environmental standards. Mondi has numerous FSC certified brands in its range.
Sustainability is a key for Mondi, and it has always been at the forefront when it comes to pioneering the environmentally-friendly manufacture of high-quality papers for office communication. Mondi is listed on both the FTSE4Good & Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes.
Since 2005, Mondi has been operating a sales office in Melbourne and is supported by direct access to mill production and logistics platforms. The office is responsible for sales and customer service in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific region.
