HP Indigo Centre of Excellence, Singapore

labels  HP  mailing and distribution

The 1135sq m HP Indigo Centre of Excellence in Singapore is divided into five main areas: Commercial Printing, Photo Specialty, Direct Mail, HP Indigo Finishing Solutions and Label Converting & Specialty Printing.

The centre shows commercial printers, photo service providers, direct mail houses and label and packaging printers how to establish their digital difference across a range of specialties.
The Commercial Printing Showcase highlights the printing capability of the HP Indigo press 7000, 5500 and 3500. On-press Fast Ink technology on the 7000 virtually eliminates downtime when changing spot colours between jobs. Hybrid workflow solutions enable HP Indigo presses to co-exist and connect with traditional offset workflows, including collaboration with Agfa ApogeeX, Heidelberg Prinect, Screen Trueflow and Kodak Prinergy/Brisque prepress workflows.
The Photo Specialty Showcase highlights high quality photo realistic printing capability of the HP Indigo press 5500 using six-color printing with light cyan and light magenta Photo Inks.
The Direct Mail Showcase highlights printing capability of the HP Indigo press 7000, 5500 and 3500. The 7000 can print single- and two-colour jobs at high speed, with up to 14,400 A4 single colour pages per hour.
Image personalisation of direct mailers from HP SmartStream Designer and Direct Smile provides highly customised one-to-one marketing as well as integration with leading authoring software solutions such as Darwin from Print On-demand Solutions Group and Print Shop Mail.
Variable data and transactional promotional (transpromo) printing software solutions from Printsoft integrate complex rules and business processes into print applications; and GMC Software solutions design, compose and deliver customised variable documents.
The Label Converters and Specialty Printing Showcase highlights printing capability of the HP Indigo press ws4500 on a variety of approved substrates.
OFIR for the ws4500 is a fast ink change system that allows ink changes while continuing to print. A stand-alone Ink mixing system from IMS creates special or corporate colours from a set of base inks to meet customers’ spot colour or corporate colour specifications. Self-adhesive label production, converting and finishing capabilities from AB Graphic International help deliver an end-to-end label printing solution on the HP Indigo press ws4500.
Packaging pre-production solutions from Esko provide software modules cover graphics integration, digital colour intelligence and computer-to-plate to cutting and creasing. The Esko connection to the ws4500 allows for the ultimate in colour calibration for fast production and quick ramp up for job changes maximising capabilities of the ws4500. HP Designjet printers are used for colour proofing purposes, producing fast, efficient proofs that are both accurate and consistent.
The HP Indigo Finishing Solution Showcase features the C & J UV coater, an advanced, near-line, user-friendly device for commercial sheetfed with automated feeding that enables print service providers and photo service firms to protect and improve the aesthetics of their digital printing output.
