The HP Designjet large format range of printers is renowned for producing prints with rich colour and sharp detail that are suitable for a multitude of applications in the indoor and outdoor signage markets

The versatility and high productivity of the HP Designjet printers enable print service providers (PSP) to produce point of sale materials, posters and large format signage on a variety of substrates from rigid surfaces such as doors, tables or glass, to banners, vinyl and uncoated paper.
In the past two years HP has released no less than four new Designjet models into the signage market designed to meet the various needs of PSPs. Ben Ho South Pacific market development manager for HP Designjet – Large Format Printing Division says, “We have a number of solutions to suit all business models. Our customer base spans those working in niche markets through to large signage production houses. The HP Designjet range provides the PSP market with a great variety of choice.”

Predictable Colour and Consistent Quality
The newest addition to the HP Designjet family is the HP Designjet Z6100, the largest pigment ink printer in the range at 152.4cm. The HP Designjet Z6100 features HP DreamColor Technologies, a certified system of colour technologies and sciences which make it easy to produce accurate, predictable and consistent colour across a series of digital colour devices.
HP’s new Optical Media Advance Sensor (OMAS) provides real-time feedback to minimise delays, banish banding, and allow unattended running overnight.
The HP Designjet Z6100 series also features HP Double Swath technology, guaranteeing double the performance in any print mode with its wider path and higher firing frequency.
HP’s patented Vivera Pigment Inks produce high-quality photos, graphics and text with clear, accurate, lasting colour for banners, signage, fine art reproductions and maps.

Accelerate Your Return on Investment
Released in 2006 the HP Designjet 8000s and 9000s Printer series deliver incomparable price/performance ratios providing high quality throughput enabling PSPs to meet short turnaround times. The HP Designjet 8000s Printer series (162.6cm) is ideal for a wide range of large-format applications. It can produce a variety of signs and banners, printing 8.17sqm of vivid, long-lasting colour output per hour at 720x720dpi.
A comprehensive solution, the HP Designjet 8000sr model includes an Onyx SignEZ v.2 rip for out-of-the-box productivity and colour management, HP support, and other accessories that simplify the implementation process.
The HP Designjet 9000s Printer series performs at speeds up to 53 metres per hour at 720x720 dpi, and up to 20.4sqm per hour at 540x720dpi.
The HP Designjet 9000s includes an in-the-box Take-Up-Reel (available as an accessory with the 8000s) for continuous unattended runs, fast data transmission rates and easy-to-use USB 2.0 connectivity. Its high print speeds and low printing costs help accelerate return on investment, creating a strong competitive advantage when competing with screen printers.

Super-Wide Prints
THE HP Designjet 10000s Printer series delivers high-quality, super-wide 264cm signs, outdoor banners and large graphic printouts that capture the attention with its striking array of colours.
Designed to ensure uncompromising reliability, image quality, durability and performance, this high-powered printer offers high productivity and improves cost efficiency by printing double-sided banners and dual-roll printing for long production runs. This Printer series ensures high productivity through hot-swappable 1,000ml ink cartridges and high-speed printing with six 512-nozzle, heavy-duty Piezo printheads.
The HP Designjet 10000s is capable of printing on a variety of media including uncoated materials such as adhesive vinyl, scrim banners and other super-wide format substrates.
Its super heavy duty take-up reel supports two preloaded rolls for side-by-side printing and enables long, unattended print runs for improved productivity. The HP Designjet 8000s and 9000s Printer series have accessories including the HP Air Purifier System to reduce workplace VOCs. The air purifier system in the HP Designjet 10000s is integrated into the printer.
