HP

HP’s industry-leading portfolio delivers productivity, versatility and dependability across the graphic arts spectrum. With the HP Designjet, HP Scitex and HP Indigo brands HP says it is the only vendor with end to end solutions in the graphic arts space

Under the HP Designjet brand of large and wide format printers HP offers print service providers (PSPs) the greatest choice for high quality multi-colour printing on a broad range of substrates. Suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications the HP Designjet range of printers spans multi function printers (MFPs) for technical operators through to commercial volume UV printers for the sign industry.

HP Designjet Z6100
The HP Designjet Z6100 series provides PSPs with rapid, reliable, colour-accurate solutions that enable them to print indoor signage, retail displays, posters, fine art reproductions, line art and maps.

The eight colour HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series with HP Vivera pigment inks features HP DreamColor Technologies, a certified system of colour technologies and sciences which make it easy to produce accurate, predictable and consistent colour across a series of digital colour devices.

Offering an attractive combination of speed, image quality and colour consistency the HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series is available in 1067 mm (42”) and 1524mm (60”) wide models.

The printer handles large volumes, producing output of more than 92 sqm an hour. In addition the printer features HP Double Swath Technology which creates a wider print swath - up to 45.7mm, and the first Optical Media Advance Sensor which improves paper advancement control, enabling the printer to print at higher speeds and across environmental conditions with exceptional image quality.

In addition, the HP Designjet Z6100 features eight HP Vivera pigment inks delivering vivid, water-resistant, exceptionally fade-resistant prints. Prints produced on a range of HP media resist fading for more than one year unlaminated, and more than three years laminated when displayed in or near a window. In interior display conditions away from direct sunlight, prints resist fading for more than 200 years.(1)

The media options for the HP Designjet Z6100 exceed more than 50 original HP media substrates, including the HP Premium Vivid Color Backlit Film - a premium micro-porous coated media specifically designed for backlit applications - and HP Self-adhesive Gloss Polypropylene a high-quality film ideal for creating vibrant, photo-realistic images for store displays, banners and posters.

Additionally the HP Designjet Z6100’s longer roll support (up to 175m) and high-capacity 775-ml Original HP ink cartridges provide an economical, time-saving approach to long print runs. Various media is available in jumbo rolls allowing for overnight unattended printing.

The HP Designjet Zseries also features the HP Designjet Z3200 and the HP Designjet Z2100 photo printers. Both printers are used extensively by professional photographers who expect the highest quality reproductions of their work for exhibitions and collectors editions. The HP Designjet Zseries photo printers are the first in their class to feature an embedded spectrophotometer, built on GretagMacbeth/X-rite’s leading Eye-One colour technology.

Technical print
HP Designjet is recognised as the printer of choice for technical professionals working in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) markets.

The new HP Designjet T1120 SD-MFP is a large format colour MFP delivering advanced copy, scan, performance and manageability features in a single integrated device. With HP Vivera inks and 1200dpi print resolution the printer also features a touchscreen scanner interface that allows users to easily perform key functions such as copying or scanning to a USB or network as well as file management.

L65500 with Latex ink
Designed with the environment in mind, the HP Designjet L65500 Printer featuring HP Latex inks and HP Wide Scan Technology offers PSPs a versatile print system that can produce a wide range of applications – from point-of-purchase displays, transit signage, wall murals and exhibition graphics to vehicle graphics and fleet marking, and a variety of exterior and interior event signage.

It produces durable outdoor and indoor applications up to 2.64m wide that withstand the elements while also providing exceptional image quality at high resolution – up to 1,200 dpi.

In addition to these featured printers, all of which will be on display at PacPrint09 in May, the HP Designjet range also includes the low solvent ink printers – the HP Designjet 8000s and 9000s, a range of technical printers and the wide format HP Designjet H45500 roll fed to flatbed UV printer.
